What Customers Say About BIC America DV-62CLRS 6-Inch 2-Way Center Channel Speaker:

Music ranging from Ottmar Liebert to the Floaters and even a bit of some dirty south and it's impressed me with the overall color and timbre. My only gripe is the depth of it, it's width and height are similar to the Martin Logan Feature center channel in my living room, but the depth is 3x. The sound quality is far above what I expected for the price, and great for my bedroom setup.

I'm very impressed with this unit. I can't say much that hasn't been said already.

I've had it for just over a week and it's slowly starting to warm up. The sub in my bedroom Harman Kardon 5.1 setup died so I picked up a BIC V1220 to replace the sub but wasn't thrilled because the HK satellite speakers couldn't produce midbass at all and the V1220 doesn't do midbass that well either.

I grabbed this and the matching bookshelf speakers relegating my previous fronts as rear channels, upgrading me from 5.1 to 7.1, and this beast for my center with the bookshelfs as fronts. I tried the FH6 center as well, but found the horn driver to be a bit bright for my taste and the midbass was clean but not enough of it.I've run it's through it's paces with everything from avatar, the pianist and many other blu-ray movies.

It's a bit obtrusive in my bedroom, but for the sound that comes out and the price I can overlook it's porkiness.

I still can beleive it. Remember sweet tweeters equal very very clear sound which means u can hear EVERYTHING going on in the movie. For a $100 this monster is a dream come true. Here's his email: efespeakers@commspeed.net or google him for phone # ect. A machine gun at high volume is crystal clear. I was recommended through a forum and then read all of these reviews, everyone was absolutely right. I went from a Bose vcs10 (crap.). I have to send him my crossovers now that I already have it.

And I mean crispy. All I can say is wow. This thing reproduces sounds perfectly. I almost had a heart attack when I hooked this beast up. Testing: this center is hooked up to a Older Onkyo TX-DS484 ( 55w@8ohms, 75w@6ohms, 100w@4ohms) I can turn it up high on battle scenes.

It actualy looks very decent but that's not why I bought it. $100. I was very skeptical cuz of course it's not Polk or jbl bla bla bla now that I know there's speakers out there like this I have no reason to blow money on something that just looks better. Maybe they sacrificed looks. And if the tweeters r too sweet for you and little turn on the treble knob should help.

To us people who want great sound without spending your savings, go with this speaker, if you have more than $600 to burn on a center. This speaker could easily sell for $300 and still be a steal. Hard to beleive but I guess there are companies who care about the consumer. This is probably one of the best buys I've made. The vcs10 sells for $200, this MONSTER $100. Be my guest. Also don't forget about the Ed Frias crossover mod for this bic line of speakers.

This thing has massive power with crispy highs. A load of horse crap that some audiophiles say. #1 rule: stick with well know brands. I "highly" recommend you email him to send you his form that talks about his mod, prices ect.

Very professional guy. There's more I want to say but everyone has said it plenty of times already. Out of the box this this is big ( make sure u measure and have room for it) and I beleive it needs some breaking in also. He will order it, modify the crossovers ($20) and more if you like then send you the custom dv62clrs ( or other bic speakers ) all ready to go.

to this. R u kidding. I wish I had emailed him before I purchased this center. Conclusion: $100 = 6.5" drivers, very bright/crystal clear tweeter, excellent bass, NO BRAINER.

I recently bought this center channel speaker and it is very nice. Now it has very nice bass response. What I did was run some bass heavy music through it all day while I was at work.

It did sound a little bright to my ears so I gave it a good break in period which is all it needed. It took about 100 hours to get the full benefit from breaking in but it was worth it. Very clear vocals and audio.

I did this for about a week. Now I love it. So if you do decide to buy one don't be quick to judge it's bright sound, break it in first.

The woofers are just too stiff when it's fresh out of the box. This center channel speaker could sell for over $200 and it would still be a good deal.

Saw the raving reviews here and decided to give it a try. In movies it picks up a lot more dynamic range, like shattering glass, trigger clicking, finger gliding up and down guitar strings, etc. What a huge difference it makes. It does not look too appealing though - the finish is more like dark ash wood grain, not black - but it just sounds wonderful. These details are played crisp and clear, which were all muffled by the old speaker. Now I really feel like I'm watching movies in a theatre. This good experience also made me replace the Polk Audio M70 with the BIC DV64.

With my previous center speaker I had to override the auto audio balancing to put more emphasis on the center speaker which seemed to defeat the purpose of the system by forcing down the performance of the other speakers. I have a big screen TV with a surround sound system in a 400 sq. room. I bought this BIC America DV-62CLRS based on consumer ratings discussed here on Amazon. I couldn't tell you how many hours but for me it was about a month using my system a few hours every other day. My other speakers are Carver ribbon speakers front, Polk RTI A-7 speakers rear, and a Veladyne sub-woofer all driven by a Sony STR-DN1000 receiver.

Voices are clear and audible with no tinny sound. ft. From my own experience with this speaker I've gone back to the auto balancing and am quite pleased with the audio performance. I've forgotten what the center speakers are but it's not an inexpensive system. The problem I've had with a center speaker is being able to clearly hear the voice when the system is cranked up - the room has a high ceiling and the center speaker gets drowned out by the other speakers. It does require a period of "burn-in" before it works to its peak performance.

I am pleased with this speaker and for someone with a large room and a lot of power in a surround sound system, this BIC America DV-62CLRS will perform well.
